Question 1

How much does Kadens cost for instructors?

Accepted Answer

There are three plans: Free, Basic, and Plus. Free is permanent at no cost. Basic and Plus are monthly or yearly, and paying yearly saves you money. Current prices are on the pricing page.

Question 2

What is Kadens Plus?

Accepted Answer

Plus is the top plan, above Free and Basic. It gives you a lower platform fee, 4K video with captions and dubbing, more storage, priority support, and website tools. Plus is a plan, which is different from Business, the professional mode.

Question 3

Is the Free plan really free, or just a trial?

Accepted Answer

It is a permanent free plan, not a time-limited trial. It activates instantly with no checkout. You only pay if you move to Basic or Plus.

Question 4

What is included in the Free plan?

Accepted Answer

Up to 25 lessons and 200 GB of storage. You can still sell and get paid on Free, but you pay a higher platform fee than on Basic or Plus, and some features such as certificates and advanced video need a paid plan. Once you reach the lesson cap you cannot add more, and an upload that would pass 200 GB is rejected until you free space or upgrade.

Question 5

What payment methods can I use to pay for my plan?

Accepted Answer

Cards are the main method, and depending on your country Stripe also offers Link, SEPA, iDEAL, Bancontact, OXXO, and PayPal. All payments go through Stripe.

Question 6

What fee does Kadens take when a student pays me?

Accepted Answer

A platform fee on each student payment. The percentage depends on your plan, higher on Free and lower on paid plans. The exact percentage for your plan is shown in your billing settings.

Question 7

Does the platform fee change depending on my plan?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Higher plans pay a lower platform fee, so upgrading lowers your fee on each sale.

Question 8

On top of Kadens' fee, do I also pay Stripe processing fees?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Stripe's card processing fees come out of your connected account, separate from Kadens' platform fee, and vary by country.

Question 9

Can I make students pay the platform fee instead of absorbing it?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You can pass the platform fee to the buyer as a separate line item, absorb it yourself, or split it.

Question 10

Where do I see the exact fee I am charged?

Accepted Answer

In your billing settings and on each plan card.
